- Qualify for a Loan

ü Find a loan program that meets your needs and get pre-qualified
- Contact a REALTOR® that you trust who understands your needs
ü Determine what neighborhood best matches your needs
ü Identify important features you need your new home to have
ü Ask a REALTOR® to estimate your closing costs
ü Search for your new home
- Negotiate the contract
ü Have the REALTOR® check recent houses that sold to negotiate the best price
ü Decide on contingencies to protect yourself (appraisal, inspections, sale of your home, seller help, rent backs, etc.)
ü Get the house inspected
- Pre-Settlement
ü Obtain Insurance (Home and Flood if applicable)
ü Choose a Title Company
ü Submit your change of address
ü Have the utilities changed to your name
ü Schedule Movers
ü Prepare any additional paperwork (Power of Attorney, 1031 tax free exchange, ground rent, etc.)
